
HR Manager
As a Human Resources Manager with IPS, you will be overseeing a range of administrative functions related to human resource management and employee development. This position also conducts regular HR training for employees and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and control programs in a manner that ensures cost effectiveness, market competitiveness, and internal equity among employees.
- Administer benefits programs, including conducting analyses and serving as primary contact with providers (including group health and life), workers’ compensation, unemployment, and retirement plans.
- Administer HR services including recruitment and selection, promotions, transfers, contract negotiation and administration, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, performance evaluation, and employee relations in accordance with quality management principles and overall objectives of the organization.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Administers performance management program including day-to-day performance management guidance to supervisors (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Develops and maintains employee training programs and employee development tracks. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Ensures effective onboarding of new employees.
- Develops, reviews and revises program policies and procedures as needed.
- Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies and procedures including HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in human resources or a related field and four years of human resource experience; or an combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities of this position.
- Experience in the construction industry preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management, dynamics of employee development and professional growth, and training program design and presentation.
- Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Ability to compose and preset comprehensive reports.
- Ability to plan, organize and present training activities to diverse employee groups.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software.
