City of Toledo - Bayview Waste Water Treatment Facility
IPS was the mechanical contractor responsible for labor and material to install and connect a 10MW combined cycle power generator which was provided by the owner. IPS was also responsible for the installation of two Domnick Hunter Systems – one at the landfill station and the other at the co-generation facility that would remove any impurities before using the green gases to generate electricity for the facility.
Bowling Green State University - South Tunnel Renovation
A $6.5 million renovation project for Bowling Green State University (BGSU) South Tunnel began in May of 2008. This project also included upgrades and renovation to the tunnel servicing points from the Centrex Building to the
Harshman / Kreischer Residence Hall complex.
Bowling Green State University - Condensate Pump Equipment
Bowling Green State University issued IPS a contract to change out existing condensate pump equipment in over forty academic, facility, and residence buildings to improve the return of condensate to the Central Heating Plant which reduced costs of make up water and lowered utility billings to the respective buildings.
Bowling Green State University - Student Rec Center
Until the start of this project, Bowling Green State University did not have any means of cooling for the Student Recreation Center. This facilitated the need for a dedicated chilled water plant to be constructed and cooling coils installed in all of the existing indoor air handling units. All work had to be completed while maintaining accessibility and use of this year round facility.
Northwest State Community College - Applied Health Building
Northwest State Community College is a public two-year
college that is accredited by the North Central Association of
Colleges and Schools.
University of Michigan - North Campus Chiller Project
The University of Michigan moved toward the creation of several regional chiller plants to meet the long term needs for chilled water. The benefits of the North Campus Chiller Plant Project (NCCP) include: energy savings, reduce operation and maintenance costs, increased redundancy and reliability, reduced proliferation of cooling tower and associated noise.
University of Toledo - Bowman Oddy Lab
Bowman-Oddy Laboratories, is a 165,000 square foot research and teaching
facility for the departments of chemistry and biology as well as the College of
Pharmacy. The facility contains state-of-the art research laboratories, modern
mediated lecture rooms, a greenhouse, and a fully operational teaching
pharmacy.
University of Toledo - Southwest Utility Upgrade
The University of Toledo created a project to remove the independent chilled water and steam boiler systems in each of five residence halls - The Crossings, International House, Academic House, Sullivan Center, and Parks Tower. The University is now able to supply, monitor, and cost chilled water steam to these buildings as they have been doing for many of the academic buildings on campus.

City of Toledo - 44 B Pump Station/East Side & Bayview Pump Stations
IPS was responsible for labor, material, and equipment to make aeration tank concrete repairs, installation of piping and control valves, installation of electrical power wiring, and control wiring to new valves for the 44 B Pump Station project.
Eastern Michigan
After performing energy audits on EMU’s campus, 16 buildings
were slated to undergo energy conservation renovations.
Eastern Michigan - Mark Jefferson Lab
The complex houses the College of Arts and Sciences,
including biology, chemistry, physics and psychology, and the
creation of this world-class facility is intended to help EMU
leverage its cutting-edge science research and innovative
teaching.
Penta Career Center
IPS completed fabrication and installation of all the carbon steel piping mains from the maintenance building boiler room out to the main building. Also included in this work is the chilled water system with a buried ice storage system consisting of thirty buried tanks and two above ground cooling towers.
Toledo Public Schools - Rogers High School
IPS was responsible for the installation of the HVAC system for the new high school.
University of Michigan - North Quad Residential & Academic Center Complex
Installation of entire HVAC system including; low and high pressure
steam lines, steam condensate, heating hot water, chilled water,
chilled water condensate and dual temperature systems. The
systems have numerous pieces of equipment, including heat
exchangers, base-mounted and in-line hydroponic pumps, expansion
tanks, air handling units, fan coil units, cabinet unit heaters and
finned-tube radiators.
University of Michigan - Stockwell Hall Renovation
Installation of entire HVAC system including; low pressure steam
lines, steam condensate, heating hot water, chilled water and chilled
water condensate. Plumbing system including all new sanitary and
storm piping. Equipment included sinks, faucets, toilet fixtures,
drinking fountains, sump pumps, and showers.
University of Toledo - Computer Center Renovation
University of Toledo - Memorial Field House
The rehabilitation and vertical expansion of existing Memorial Field House for general classroom building, including offices for selected academic departments. This is one of the first “Green Building” projects for the University of Toledo and they are on track to receive the LEEDS Silver Certification for it.
University of Toledo - MUO
This project consisted of a 23,000 square foot
addition of an Orthopedic Outpatient Care Center
where everything from x-rays to casting can be
performed. The existing Dowling Hall building was
expanded up by one level using the buildings
existing foundation and infrastructure.
